Fleas are a common problem for dogs and cats and can become very
troublesome for both owner and pet if left untreated. Spring and
summer are the key times for potential flea infestation on your
pet. Fleas not only cause your pet intense irritation and discomfort,
they also carry tapeworms eggs!
What
do fleas look like?
If you
notice small, reddish, flat creatures running through your pet's
fur or you find tiny particles of black grit (flea droppings)
scattered throughout the fur, then your pet has fleas. Carefully,
part your pet's fur and inspect it for any of these signs.

The
Flea Life Cycle
The flea life cycle
is made up of four stages. 1) Egg 2) Larva 3) Pupa 4) Adult
Flea. 95% of the flea's life span is spent in the first 3 stages.
However, once the flea becomes an adult and attaches itself
to your pet, the reproduction cycle can result into hundreds,
thousands of fleas.
