Special Events
We are pleased to announce that our Second Annual Open House was a great success! We would like to thank everyone who attended and hope you had a fun time and a learning experience too! The clinic would also like to thank Karen, our Practice Manager and all the staff who helped make this a great event. Photos will be posted soon - anyone having any they would like to include can mail them to the clicic. Please use our guestbook to leave any comments you have - we'd love to hear what you liked best!
National Veterinary Technician week was celebrated October 12th to the 18th. We would like to express our appreciation to all of the great Technicians who work at our hospital. Our Technicians help our Veterinarians diagnose and care for your pet. They are responsible for such things as collecting and processing blood and other lab samples, taking radiographs, assisting in surgery and many other nursing duties. We'd like to acknowledge these behind-the-scenes staff members as the invaluable team members that they are!
Fall News
The fall season brings shorter days, bad weather and heavier traffic. All of these factors contribute to pets being hit by vehicles. Please keep your own pets secure at all times and stay aware of these hazards while driving.
The sweet taste of regular antifreeze makes it a common poison with our pets. Please consider using pet-friendly antifreeze in your vehicle to make the environment safe for all pets.
Our Open House had an X-Treme X-ray display. Check out some other extreme x-ray pictures from the They Ate What? contest held by Veterinary Practice News and Elkin Medical Systems.
Flea prevention should continue throughout the fall months. Call or visit our office and check out our flea fact page to learn what you need to know to combat fleas this season.
Along with flea prevention, we recommend regular deworming of our pets to protect both our pets and our families. Contact your Veterinarian today to find out what is recommended for your pets. Read more at the Companion Animal Parasite Council's website.
The local rescue groups are having great fund-raisers, as usual. Check out their sites to find something you can do to help homeless animals today.
Please feel free to provide comments or suggestions in our guest book. These comments can be made public or private. Or use the Contact button at the top of the page to directly reach our Practice Manager, Karen Power.
